SIGNATURES AND AVATARS
So you want to have a more “personalized” look here at Webbies 4 Ever?
Well having a signature and avatar is the best way to do that!
Before we get started you have to know what a signature and avatar is ( sounds silly huh? But we gotta do first things first )
- An AVATAR- is the image that gos beside or close to your username
- A SIGNATURE- is the image that gos underneath the words that you post on our forums.
Now that we have the basics down lets get started.
First: You have to find an image to use
You can do this several ways-
- You can make it yourself! Get creative! I usually use paint-it is relatively simple to use for beginners.
- You can find one online at a graphics site! Some graphic sites even allow you to “customize” your images. Try googling(or searching) for avatars or signatures. To get you started here is just one site that offers free ones. Remember there are tons of others out there!
o http://www.free-avatars.com
- You can get someone to make you one! We have a ton of very gifted graphic makers here on the site and from time to time, they accept requests! Keep your eyes opened!
Second- Now that you have an image- you need to get it saved to your computer.
( If you have found your image on the internet and have the link for it…….. you can skip this step)
- To get the image saved to your computer- its simple really just RIGHT CLICK the image and select “SAVE AS” then save it to wherever you want on your computer.
- If you want an AVATAR you are done, move on to the Third step. If you want a SIGNATURE- you will have to upload your image to a image hosting site such as photo bucket or tiny pic ( follow the instructions on whatever you site you decide to you)
Third- Now that you have your image saved to your computer- its time for the final steps
- Click on the profile link at the top of the site.
- Click either the signature or avatar tab depending on which one you are trying to add.
- For the AVATAR- you will see four choices which will be
1: Upload Avatar from your machine- this is what you use if you have saved your I mage to your computer- all you do is click browse and find where you have saved your image. Click Save
2: Upload Avatar from a Url- this what you use if you have saved your image to a image hosting site ( such as photobucket or tinypic) all you did is copy and paste the I mages website link into the box. Click Save

Go to Profile page again, and Click on Preferences
Scroll down until you see a check box that says: Always Attach Signature and click on YES
Some things to keep in mind- For avatars- its width cannot exceed 150 pixels, the height cannot exceed 200 pixels, and the file size cannot be higher than 64 KB.
