Introduction
What exactly is Trading Pet Codes? Well, it's when you trade an unused pet code for a rare item or maybe even another pet code. This is real trouble, especially for the unsuspecting victim. You see, there are many people out there, who take joy in ripping people of their codes. Many people will send a real code, and then recieve a fake one! This is the type of situation you want to avoid.

The Hazards
There are a few things that can go wrong in a code trade. The first, is that you will recieve a "bad" code or otherwise useless jumble of letters and numerals. The second is that when you send your code, and recieve a code, add it to your account, somebody could have recorded the code before they gave it to you and then later gone into your account and used the code to retrieve the password. Thats the worst case scenario, as your account, with all your items, will most likely be hijacked.

How to avoid
To avoid a code trade, it's fairly simple, just don't ask for a code! It doesn't hurt to do some chores and save up for that Webkinz you want, rather than risking your account. If you do find yourself in a situation where somebody offers you a pet code, make sure that you clearly state your answer, no. As well, make sure that code trading is against the rule of a forum, before you join it. That'll ensure that you should be perfectly safe within it's laws.
